The more I read about the newer versions of Ubuntu, the more I see that it's 
being developed into a product for users who don't really want to look under the 
hood.

I'm not saying it's a bad product, mind, just that it is turning into the sort 
of OS that doesn't support the kind of detail involvement that the typical 
installation of Mythtv calls for.

Perhaps it's time to look at other distros?
