An acronym is one that can be pronounced as a word... like "SCSI" is "scuzzy"

An initialization is one that is pronounced as letters... like "USB"
is "You Ess Bee"

So I guess the question Eric is asking is whether it's "Vee Dee Pee Ay
You" or "Vee Dee Pow" ... or... "Vid Pow"? :)
