[mythtv-users] How to best deal with Comcast's "Improved" Lineup?

Well, another proverbial shoe has dropped square on my noggin...

Seems the provided DTAs, Pace DC50Xu models, have a standard
F-connector for the cable input to them and another one for connection
to the TV, and that's it for the video signal. Nothing else.

What's wrong with that, you may ask?

I have four DTA boxes and two tuner cards in my system.

The tuner cards are both PVR-500s. Hauppauge units with dual tuners.
Dual tuners fed off an internal splitter.

Now see the problem?

How do I get two concurrent TV program feeds into two separate capture
tuners on one PVR-500 card with only one cable?

Yes, there is an adapter plate that comes with each of the PVR-500s
that can be put in an "extra" adapter card backplate slot with input
connections for the second tuner, but... no F-connectors. Just
S-Video and composite video.

Soooo... Anyone got a better idea than to set one DC50Xu to output on
channel 3 and the other one on channel 4, feed both into a 2 to 1
splitter/combiner, feed that into the single capture card F-connector,
and then tell the two tuners to tune to channels 3 and 4 respectively?

If so, I'd love to hear it.

TIA

Craig.
