[root at vanson ~]# cat /proc/asound/version
Advanced Linux Sound Architecture Driver Version 1.0.21.
[root at vanson ~]#

But I do have version 1.0.23 installed; it's not using it. How do I
tell it to use the new one? Did I do the installation correctly?

- download alsa-driver source and un-pack
- ./configure --with-kernel=/usr/src/kernels/2.6.32.16-141.fc12.i686
- make
- make install

Where did I go wrong?
