Jessica,
Is your Nvidia 6150 on an add-in card (PCI, PCI-e, ISA, AGP...?) or
provided on the motherboard. If the latter, you will need to review
the documentation for the video support on the motherboard. I have
several (mostly ASUS, but this may apply to other brands, as well) and
although it wasn't there in black and white with bold text and borders
around it, I came to realize they were telling me that I could have
TV-Out work or I could have something else, but not both. If the mobo
supported two video interfaces besides TV-Out, I could use both of
those non-TV-Out interfaces, but once TV-Out was in play, all else was
out of the question. For example, my ASUS M2NPV-VM mobo has these
excerpts in the specifications summary graphics section: "Dual VGA
output: DVI-D and RGB. ... Note: DVI-D only supports digital display.
You cannot convert DVI-D to output RGB signal to CRT display. ...
Note: RGB and TV-Out cannot be used simultaneously." Since I use a
VGA monitor on this system, not a newer one with DVI-D, I don't know
if the latter would support TV-Out concurrently, but it certainly
won't support TV-Out with my VGA monitor concurrently. Believe me, I
tried.
Hope this doesn't apply to you.
Craig.
