[mythtv-users] S-video/nvidia problems

Jessica,

While I doubt that the amount of shared memory would affect the
ability to display on more than one screen concurrently, I've seen
stranger things.

If it turns out that you run out of patience/time/possibilities, if
your system has an adapter card slot open, you can get a video card to
put in that will do what you need. If this is beyond your skills, a
store like Best Buy or Staples should be able to get it set up for
you.

Seeing as you are working to get TV-Out to work, you are apparently,
like me, just looking to use MythTV with standard definition
programming as opposed to HDTV. That means just about any video card
you buy with an S-Video port will do. As contributors to this list
will attest, the easiest ones to work with using MythTV have Nvidia
graphics processors, although some others are getting better, just not
yet as easy.

If you are looking to go with HDTV, either now or somewhere down the
road, then you'll need to be a little more picky and consider ones
that at least have the white rectangular DVI connnector, or an HDMI
connector.

Hope this helps.

Craig.
