Then lirc_zilog either isn't loaded, or isn't binding to your hdpvr
once loaded. So actually, I guess this *could* be somewhat
tangentially related to video failing. If you have a channel-change
script that is relying on irsend via the hdpvr's blaster, it would
fail, and mythtv would abort starting video recording/playback via
your hdpvr.
