[mythtv-users] DTS to ac3

Hello,

My LCD TV uses HDMI and has an Optical audio connection that goes to my
receiver.  The problem is that this optical connection only passes
through ac3.  If you send the TV DTS you get no audio.  So I have a
couple of options, upgrade my receiver to one that accepts HDMI, or get
creative -- I want the cheap route and I'm hoping someone out there can
help.

Passing through ac3 works beautifully.  What I would like to be able to
do is pass through DTS and somehow get it converted to ac3 on the fly.
Does anyone know of some clever way to do this?
