[mythtv-users] Overlapping recordings on SAME channel w/ one tuner

Hi Myth Users,

I'm a myth user since 0.19, now running 0.22, and there is only one
thing that I'm still missing from the commercial PVR's:

The ability to overlap back2back recordings on the same channel using
one tuner.

It is quite annoying to have the recording end one minute from the end
of your favourite show, then have to hunt for the continuation at the
beginning of another recording, hoping that it hasn't been deleted by
another member of the family!

I know there was talk of implementing this ability some time back, by
either writing dual files, or using positional metadata.

Does anyone know if any development was done on this feature? Is it
something in the pipeline?
