[mythtv-users] Soo I just got the Comcast all digital notice. What is my best option?

I just took a look at the Newegg page, and to me it's not clear whether
the IR blaster is separate from the receiver, or simply a repeater of
what came in on the receiver. Can you expand a little further.

I'd like to run a Scientific Atlanta Explorer 4250C cable box from
Comcast. I've got an IR blaster on my hvr-1600.

But I've heard that the SA boxes are very finicky about working with an
IR blaster, and the blaster support on the hvr-1600 is out-of-tree, and
also sounds a bit finicky. I figure putting together 2 finicky parts is
a pretty sure recipe for failure.

What I really want is a USB IR blaster with in-tree lirc support - but I
wouldn't mind having an extra remote, while I'm at it.
