Great stuff and great timing, I was going to give it a try tomorrow! 

Of course I could just restore the db backup if it all went the way of the pear but you may have saved me a few hours tinkering. My temporary solution is working well enough for now and a capture cards purge might sort out the odd unexpected scheduling choice.

I'm tempted to got to Trunk pretty soon anyway, spotted music to my ears (eyes) in the updates page :-)
