Ian,
    The problem is most likely that one of the two metadata sources 
(TMDB/TVDB) was down or very slow. The timeout when waiting for a 
response is fairly long and connot be easily controled on many ditros. 
If I was to guess I suspect TVDB was down as that is the one which has 
had problems recently. If this issue persists then I would suggest 
turning off the email notification for that specific cronjob.
