I am having some problems getting remote control working on MythDora
12.23. /dev/lirc* is not getting created.

ls /dev/lirc*
ls: cannot access /dev/lirc*: No such file or directory

 dmesg|grep pvr
hdpvr 1-5:1.0: untested firmware version 0xf, the driver might not work
hdpvr 1-5:1.0: device now attached to /dev/video0
usbcore: registered new interface driver hdpvr

 dmesg|grep HD
usb 1-5: Product: Hauppauge HD PVR

lsmod|grep lirc
lirc_zilog 13790 0
lirc_dev 15858 1 lirc_zilog
i2c_core 26876 13

uname -a

During setup I selected:

Remote Control Model: Hauppauge Original (lirc_i2c)

IR module /receiver: lirc_zilog

IR blaster no IR blaster (I don't need as changing channels through
firewire on STB).

STB: none

Thanks in advance.
