Score one for the UK system. /Every/ channel from /every/ provider is
transmitted from the same location in each catchment area, so in principle one
needs just a single receiving antenna pointed in the correct direction.
Doesn't half make setting up easier, and a load less junk on the roof.
Note. Originally all UK TV was Band I and III VHF (II is FM). Everything was
migrated to UHF round about the move to 625 lines+colour (IIRC). So even though
we might need slightly different configurations to cover the width and
orientation of the UHF bands, we don't suffer the VHF/UHF mess you seem to have
in the US.
