Ok, further poking and it looks like the package for 24111 has a "-" before the revision in the package name which appears to be making apt think it is more recent than all the other versions which don't have the "-":

Version: 2:0.24.0~trunk-24111-0ubuntu0
Version: 2:0.24.0~trunk24519-0ubuntu0

Does that make any sense?
