Just throwing it out there, you could also use a networked tuner:

Essentially like a USB tuner (e.g., it's not standalone, you need a
computer), but using a network interface rather than USB. Supported by
MythTV 0.20 or later:

I'm still looking into it (standby power consumption, etc.), but
figured I'd call it to your attention.
