Actually, *i* prefer FreeBSD[1] as my os of choice for my HTPC, and for many
other tasks. I have been running MythTV on FreeBSD for several years now, it
works great for my situation (analog cable).

If I can't have FreeBSD for some specific solution, I will use Linux.

Just my 0.02 cents.
