Now that I have MythTv working on my ION-based board, I'm no longer
seeing any significant posterization from the Panasonic TX-P50G20B.
It's a real suprise: I'm getting a much better picture having vdpau
do the deinterlacing and upscaling than when the TV decodes directly.
It's also better than when the TV plays my MythTv recordings directly
using DLNA, and it's better than when I drive the TV from Myth using
a 576i mode (although driving with 576i wasn't really a good comparison
because it was via component rather than HDMI and using a via chip set).

Anyway, all sorted. I'm now getting a superb picture.
