don't know, I disable the screen saver when using myth

For playing the audio, I have them added to mythmusic.

Unfortunately, there are no myth command line to only play audio.
mythtavtest only works with video files.

Sometimes, what I do is start Adobe Premiere and add a dummy video to
it keeping the original soundtrack.
Much easier to test that way with mythavtest

That's what the .mpg file are on the server ; no video , just the
audio track, but they can be played by a video player
