it works now with the ebuild from the mentioned bug:

rev 27204 then, works so far.

Were you using trunk or 0.24-fixes?
I just built 27305 from fixes using the overlay. I haven't tried trunk in at
least a month.
If it is trunk I'll have to fire up my VM and see what happens when I build.
