Hi all,
I just ran across the some news regarding some recent ffmpeg and kernel
patches to get bitstreaming of high-fidelity codecs working under linux. It
seems like there's been some success, but Anssi Hannula needs testers with
recent cards with HDMI out, particularly NVidia and Intel. Apparently,
kernel support isn't quite there for ATI, yet.
Any people with an NVidia 9300/9400 IGP or a GT 210, 220, 240, or a Fermi
and a DTS-HD/TruHD capable receiver should consider helping out by testing.
I would if I had a better receiver.
Take a look at these threads for more info:

Could bitstreaming HD audio be a possibility for inclusion in 0.25? I think
that would be pretty sweet.
