Yes!  this is ASUS Nvidia loaded machine with a Athlon-XP cpu.  Several of us have figured out it is an openSuSE 11.4 and/or KDE4.5 problem and not a MythTV 0.24 problem at all.  I am not running a kernel without DRM or nouveau in the kernel.  It is running a NV.run file

NIDIA-Linux-x86-260.19.21.run.
