If you go the PVC route, you can always pull in multiple cables at once

I would run 1 RG6 Quad shield (coax for ATSC, etc), two CAT 5E or CAT
6 cables, and one pre terminated fiber:

You could also just use the Copper cables as a pull string for a pull
string, and re-pull with Fiber if the copper does not work for you
(the wonders of having the pipe).

Direct burial is made for people that have to pay $$$ for time and
materials.

I never speced a project with Direct Burial, as the long term cost
benefit having PVC pipe in place.

Average cost I am seeing for 1 1/4" electrical PVC right now is about
$1/ft, or less then $500 for the project.

If you are worried about going beyond the 100meter (110 yards) limit
of Gigabit Ethernet, then you can put an underground (sealed) box in
the middle, and put a POE powered switch on it, but I highly doubt it
will be an issue.
