That's true but it does not solve the problem of the different screen
sizes. At least under Gnome with Compiz as WM the resulting frames
cannot be maximized or otherwise changed in size. Even with the option
"use fixed window size" in Mythfrontend switched off. This option seems
to have virtually no function. It that an Ubuntu problem? I have not
tested another OS or window-manager.
