I've been using the attached patch with 0.23-fixes for a long time
after I had this problem.  It's similar to the change I made to
dvbchannel.cpp in [22406].  I never committed this one because I never
say anyone else report the problem until now.  Daniel, do you have any
problem with me committing this change (with the formatting cleaned
up, of course)?
