If the programme is encrypted and you decrypt it without the authority
of the provider (even if you are subscribed and have a legitimate
decryption key in the form of a smartcard or otherwise) then as I
understand it you potentially break the DMCA. That's why the
discussion is not allowed here.

> What card? The receiver doesn't have a card that I know of. At least the Skyvision tech who installed the whole thing for me never mentioned one. I've never looked in the slot. The bottom line is that their setup uses an old receiver and I want something more modern, especially in terms of clarity by having it directly on a myth box.
