Thanks for the reply Mike.

I did a bit more digging, and ended up looking at the source code.  That 
pointed me to the fact that a lot of older recordings had 
"deletepending=1' in the recordings table.  I don't know how they got 
like that.  Anyway, I set them all back to "deletepending=0", and now 
they all show up in the list of expirable programs.
