[mythtv-users] Just upgraded one front end from .23-fixes to .23.1 now broken

After much tearing, removing and swearing(apt-get remove, dpkg -P
etc...) I'm back and running on the specific front end.

So the bottom line is you can't upgrade from .23-fixes* to 23.1 23.2
etc..(while keeping the backend at .23-fixes  ?

Think I can understand schema changes, but what are protocol changes?
