Apparently in < .23 if you use certain playback profiles, there can be
focus issues.  At least, that's all the bugs that had been reported to
us-- don't recall hearing about hard lockups.  Anyway, in trunk the
whole shebang has been rewritten and should be relatively pain-free
for .24.
