Sure, no problem running what ever anyone wants if this is of interest for development or what not.
Even if I go with a new card, I can keep the machine intact until it comes in.

# nvidia-xconfig

Using X configuration file: "/etc/X11/xorg.conf".
Backed up file '/etc/X11/xorg.conf' as '/etc/X11/xorg.conf.backup'
New X configuration file written to '/etc/X11/xorg.conf'

The server is in my server room and the TV output is connected to a modulator which I tune into when testing for output.
In the server room, the server is connected to a KVM switch. The fx5200 has both VGA and TV out.

I figure if I can't get this working with all of the input I've gotten on this list, it's not worth spending much more time on it.

Do you this one?

The server seems to work in every other way so doesn't that make it time to get TV out? I mean, I do have monitor out and it does record programs on my ATSC card, etc.

There aren't many lists which are as civilized as this one. I'm really impressed that people can voice their opinions on things without the usual personal attacks that usually follow after a while.
