I didnt actually answer some of your questions...

dont know, but I have 5 tuners, 2 dual DVB-T tuners and a DVB-S, so I
can record programmes from 5 frequencies (muxes) simultaneously.
MythTV is quite clever - as I said in my previous post I dont know how
FIOS is presented so it is hard ot advise. If FIOS is presented as a
set-top box, then you will need one box for each recording you will
like to make... in your case you want to make 3 recordings, so three
set top boxes and three HD PVRs...

just add the additional frontend to the network... done. An ION system
would be ideal and these cost (from what I see) about $200 for the
unit to sit next to the tv.

> 3. Have all of the TVs be able to watch recorded shows

standard Mythtv functionality if you use the frontend software on each tv

> 4. Have the non-HD tv be able to watch live shows and watch recorded shows.

yep. The system will allow playback of HD shows, even on non-HD
monitors (at reduced quality naturally.

Its easier if you use TVs that computer like inputs, VGA, DVI or HDMI.
In otherwords and in my opinion it is easier to use a computer monitor
as a TV than to use an old TV (such as a CRT analogue tv) with
MythTV... this is because you need to find a frontend which has
component out, svideo out, or a converter from vga to one of these...
and all this hassle for lower quality...

That being said, until I have decorated the lounge we have an old CRT
in the lounge connected via svideo from the combined MBE/FE system.
