The thing that makes a difference is mythweb.  Please use
mythback/frontend for everything I ask you to try.  The setting can be
found in mythfrontend / Utilities/Setup / Setup / TV Settings /
Recording Pirorities / Set Recording Priorities.

I doubt it.  I'm guessing that's mythweb-speak for the backend startup
command, which is something for the backend to run, not how the
backend itself is run.  To run the backend with "-v schedule" you will
either need to run it manually or possible change it's init script.

If you don't know how the priority got to -10, you definitely need to
read the documentation mentioned above and understand it before doing
anything else.
