[mythtv-users] What is mythXML?

Thanks for the reply Raymond though I had seen pretty much all of that since
I did some research before posing the question.
Both the telnet socket and mythXML seem to be very good at getting data, not
so great at setting it.
Since I only want to dabble with Android programming I will probably abuse
the mythXML pages to do what I want (nothing more than a program guide,
upcoming recordings page etc, but with the option to set recordings).
Nick, I realise I could do this with mythweb, but it doesn't look great on
my phone and that won't help me to learn.
Also, I have seen mythmote and mythdroid and others and while they are good
at what they do they don't scratch my itch.
I guess ideally I was after some feedback on the intended use for mythXML
and whether calling those pages from an app would be a good idea. Failing
any other feedback I will just plan to run with them for now.
Cheers,
Whytey
