[mythtv-users] ION2 HDMI Audio Issue

Hi,

I recently put together an ION2/Atom D525-based machine [1] to replace
the frontend portion of my aging backend/frontend combo machine. While
long term I will likely use its S/PDIF output, I'd like to send audio
through the HDMI connection initially while I work out the kinks in the
system. Unfortunately, I'm not quite sure how to do this...

Listed below is the output of lspci and aplay [2]. I'm assuming I should
see something about nVidia HDMI in the aplay output, but it's not there.
FWIW, this is a new stock install of Mythbuntu and everything is up to
date. Neither ALSA:default nor ALSA:hdmi produces any sound or useful
log data (to me) [4]. Video via HDMI is working just fine and everything
is unmuted in alsamixer. Does ALSA 1.0.22 not support ION2+HDMI+Audio
yet?

Any thoughts on where to start?

Thanks!
Joe
