I do plan to transfer sound through HDMI. I don't have any experience
with HDMI splitters, but here's one that splits sound according to the
description and reviews:

Does anyone have good or bad experience using MythTV with this or
similar splitters? Is there any reason to believe MythTV would have
more trouble feeding a splitter than other sources?

Yes, I'll want a remote in every room. This RF extender seems like a
