I believe there was at least one small CommandIR III-related fix that went into
lirc after 0.8.7 was released, but if you're not even seeing the device on the
bus, it probably doesn't matter. :)
(lirc 0.9.0 is in fedora 14 updates-testing right now, fwiw)
