input-kbd wasn't installed. I installed and ran it and got the following:

Does that get me any closer?

There's also the section of Mythbuntu which can supposedly auto 
configure the IR receiver, but none of the options in the list appear 
relevant to an IR receiver that plugs in to one of my TV cards. Would 
that be a serial receiver option? It can't be one of the USB options I 
assume.

Probably best to set it up manually if I can figure it out.
