Incorrect. The cablecard is perfectly capable of decrypting anything
your STB can decrypt. In fact, your STB actually uses a cablecard to
do it's decryption (it's required to by law). The problem is that the
content providers demand DRM to protect their precious media from the
evil customers, and thus cablelabs requires any certified device to
respect the DRM methods they have implemented. This DRM system will
only decrypt the premium content under certain circumstances, and a
Ceton or HDHR Prime used by mythtv is NOT one of those approved
circumstances.
