[mythtv-users] How to deal with same channels on different tuners?

Hi all,

My setup has an HD stb going through an HD-PVR and an HVR2250 recording analog cable channels (2 tuners).

Most of the time, things work fine when the programs have episode descriptions and my use of "any time any channel" is able to tell that I don't want to record a particular episode more than once.

However, when there is no description (or subtitle), the scheduler will decide to record the show on tuner 1 (HD) say on channel 609 and then on tuner 2 (analog cable) say on channel 7 and also on tuner 3 (other analog cable) also on channel 7!

The thing is, all of those channels broadcast _exactly_ the same thing! One in HD and the other two in SD. I've resorted to finding out the frequency of the show I want to record (usually daily or weekly) and then changing the rule to "find daily" or "find weekly" to limit the simultanous recording of the same show.

What would be ideal (I think) is that I could identify that all these channels broadcast _always_ the same thing and to never record simultaneously on those channels.

Most of the time, things are fine because there is more uniquely identifying info to use but occasionally, there isn't. What's the best way to deal with this?

Thanks in advance for any insight,
Daniel
