Mike, a comment you made in another post got my attention:

I've had bad results when using the channel scanner (years ago, and it
was so painful to fix what it populated I haven't done it lately), and I
find the editors you mention can't do what I need with the HDHR. I have
a HDHR dual tuner, and about every 6 months my local Comcast remaps some
channels. The best thing I found to do is to:
- go to my Windows machine and use the HDHR setup GUI to find the new
"channel" and "program" for the channels of issue
- edit the channel table in the database using mysql, updating the
mplexid and serviceid for whichever channels I need to.
Yes, that's tedious but where else can you update channels like that?
I'm not looking for a tutorial, but am I way off base?
PVR500
Motorola 6200 via firewire
HDHR via ethernet
