Glad to hear you're back up.

Would you mind posting the output of:

   ifconfig eth1 | grep inet6
   netstat -pant | grep 6543

You should xxxx out any trailing information that could
identify you system. So fe80::xxxx or 2001:db8:xxxx, for
example, is all I'm looking for.

I've seen similar reports and have 2 line patch, but don't
have this problem on my mythbuntu systems.

May be related to http://code.mythtv.org/trac/ticket/9820.
