Hehe, yeah, there was a lot of confusion in this thread.
You can use MythWeb or mythfrontend to edit your recording schedules.
If you use mythfrontend, the UI limits you to plus or minus 480 minutes
for start early or end late. Technically, nothing is providing a limit
in MythWeb, so if you typed in 500 for start early on a recording rule
you create or edit with MythWeb, it would start that recording 8 hours
and 20 minutes early--but I don't see anyone ever needing to do that (or
if they think they need to, there's a much bigger problem than UI limits :).
You can set the default start early and end late values if you plan to
use the same start early/end late values on every (or most) new rule(s)
you create. Those are limited to "sane" defaults providing a 40min
window (-10 to 30 for start early and for end late) since we kind of
expected the only people who would actually use MythTV would have
listings that are accurate to within about half an hour of the provided
schedule. Just note that changing those values in setup has no effect
on existing recording rules. :)
