according to the MythTV frequency table that should be 770MHz with an 
optional offset of +166670Hz or -166670Hz.
Looks like VLC somehow ended up trying 770MHz -2*166670Hz = 769666660Hz
which seems to be close enough for your hardware to get a lock on the
signal. From the log in the other mail 770000000Hz seems to be close
enough, too.

just for kicks you might try manually setting the original_network_id to 
9018 (thats the UK's DVB-T ONID) and the transport_id to 12323 for
the multiplex at 770MHz and see what happens.
