I wouldnt mountnetwork drives using fstab, have a look at autofs instead. If
the network is down at boot or the computer is unavailable the boot sequence
will wait for the share. If the smb server goes down briefly it wont fully
auto recover. With autofs it will.

Just a thought. There maybe reasons to not use it but i am not aware of any.
Autofs works well for laptops connected by wifi also.
