I also got bitten by this problem. It seems like the problem
is triggered when you start to play back a recording and
then press another key before playback starts. I upgraded
to 2:0.24.0+fixes.20110213.3d55e51-0ubuntu0mythbuntu1 on
Sunday 2/13 and that is when I started to experience the
problem (before 2:0.24.0+fixes.20110213 I was running
1:0.24.0+fixes27373-0ubuntu0+mythbuntu1, so it was old, i.e. pre-GIT
move, but it didn't have this problem).

I just upgraded to 2:0.24.0+fixes.20110215.72b76bd-0ubuntu0mythbuntu1
and I see that this is one of the changes:

  * [18a8200] Fix lockup when keys are pressed while playback is
    starting. (cherry picked from commit
    5ec80d83b3f37f600374ee44c4708047e2e08ea2)

So all should be good now.

Cheers,

Eloy Paris.-
