The latest consumer SATA drives are hitting 150MB/s STR. If you short
stroke these down to the same size of the older SCA-80pin drive (I am
assuming these are 80GB or less) most likely the SATA would win even
in seeks for the short stroked drive. I would not use it that way
though.
