Thanks for the quick reply.  18 tests so far and no
failures with the patch on a new FE/BE I'm building.
(And it would fail at times beforehand.)

Without the patch, six tests, one failure on my 'old'
FE/BE.

I don't think this is conclusive, but it looks good!

I'll add the patch to my 'old' machine Thursday AM,
and report back to the ticket.
