Shrug.  4 Years ago, I put less than an hour of research into finding out 
what hardware would be recommended for a decent Myth setup.  I had a working 
installation of Mythbuntu from the moment the installer said finished.  I 
used those “useless docs” to do my initial setup and was using it side by 
side with my Dish PVR within 2 hours of starting, including installation 
time.  Sure, I've done plenty of tweaking since then, but it was running and 
100% working in less than 2 hours.  Can’t help but wonder who all your 
troubles comments more on (heh, that says moron) ;) .

FWIW, I do 100% agree with you that the "you get what you pay for" party 
line from the open source community is tiresome.  Especially for a Linux who 
claims to be ready for mainstream.
