You keep using that word.  I do not think it means what you think it means.

Multiplexing is what the broadcaster does to put multiple channels on
a single physical frequency.  I think you're referring to multirec,
which is the MythTV term for simultaneously recording multiple
programs from a single physical frequency on a single physical tuner.
