If you use the remove all option, rather than deleting individually, then
the numbers will restart from zero when you re-create them.  I have had to
do this often with my Nova T 500, which randomly starts recording zero
length files, well, on 0.22 anyway

Using the delete all is also the recommended option, can't find the link to
this now
